Your First Naturopathic Visit

The visit will last from 90 to 120 minutes and include an analysis of you as a complete being and not just the area of complaint.  This first visit is considered the information collecting phase of the naturopathic process.  

On your first visit with Dr. Patel, you should expect an in-depth assessment of your physical, mental/emotional and spiritual health.  This will include details about your current ailments, past medical history, social history, family history, environmental exposures and lifestyle evaluation (exercise, hydration, diet, sleep, etc.).  A physical examination will follow the history.  Laboratory and imaging tests may be ordered and x-rays and specimen collection will be completed in the office.

It is important to provide any relevant testing that has been completed within the past year.  This should be brought with you on your fist visit, if available.

A review of findings along with a treatment plan will be presented on your next visit.

As a naturopathic physician, Dr. Patel will utilize a variety of natural, therapeutic treatments with a common goal to re-establish the basis for health (identify and treat the underlining cause).
